I have lived in Nuthall since marrying Jill.  Our son Andrew attended Horsendale School and is now a Consultant with the NHS.  As the County and a Borough Councillor I am well placed to deal with any issues residents may encounter. I am currently a Chief Examiner for International GCSE Human Biology and worked as an Assistant Headteacher of a large Nottinghamshire Comprehensive School.

My name is Jayne Baumber and I have lived in Nuthall since 1984 when my Father gave up farming and worked for Nuthall Parish Council.  I have been a Councillor for over 20 years and Chairman for one of the years.

For 25 years I was a Teacher in which I taught Mathematics, English and IT. I have taught in a number of school and colleges in Nottinghamshire.  I was also a Basic Skills Tutor.  My last post was Teaching students with Special needs and Autism.  I now have two part-time jobs in the NHS.

I have been a School Governor in a Nuthall school.  I donate to

worthwhile charities such as cancer and animal charities and donate to charity shops.

Even though I am a member of the Conservative Party my overall interest is to make Nuthall a better place to live for everyone.

I was elected to Nuthall Parish Council 40 years ago, there was a brief spell in 2003/4 when the Independent Councillors who took control in 2003 began to resign, I then went back onto the Council.

I have lived in Nuthall for over 40 years and I have been a Broxtowe Councillor for 20 years.  I am married to Philip and we have one son who is a Consultant at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.  We have three grandchildren.

For many years I have been a Governor at local Schools.  I was a founder member of Horsendale Playgroup and Mothers’ Toddlers Group.
